By

Ever since it was announced, the Nokia 6 has been a highly anticipated smart phone model by people around the world. It was exclusively released in the Chinese market, though a successful campaign may hopefully prompt Nokia to release the phone to the rest of the world.

The phone finally became available for purchase on Jan. 19 for the Chinese market and costs 1,699 Yuan, or roughly $245. The device, exclusively available on JD.com, went on sale at 10:06 am with initial stock selling out within just one minute of its release according to the Chinese website, Anzhou.cn.

The main reason for the Nokia 6 having such a successful release is that for it has premium features at an affordable price. The 5.5-inch full HD display, 4GB of RAM, 64GB internal memory, fingerprint sensor and, octa-core processor are just some of the amazing features that it has, according to GSM Arena. It rivals the premium devices from other brands, but costs nearly half as much.

There has not been any official word as to how many units were actually sold but the Nokia 6 received over 1 million registrations for the flash sale. JD.com has also yet to announce when the next sale will take place, but is expected to have another one shortly to meet the high demands.

Following the successful release of the Nokia 6, more Android powered devices are expected to be released by the company. This includes their flagship mode, the Nokia p1 which is yet to be unveiled. Previous rumors about the Nokia P1 by Phone Arena include it having 6GB of RAM, 256GB of internal storage, the top of the line Snapdragon chipset and a 5.3-inch display with 2560x1440 resolution. This, however, is rumored to be priced at around $950, with a 128GB internal storage model costing around $800.
