‘Nokia’ Release Date, News & Updates: HMD Global set to release new smartphone during Mobile World Congress 2017

By

Old school would be the best word to describe the almost ancient mobile phone companies. Nokia being one of them, was known to be the company that produced the sturdiest and most withstanding phones in history.

But, since then Nokia has decided to step up its game from teeny basic mobile phones to actual smartphones that can suit the 21st-century ideal. Who uses phones with 1.5" screens anymore? Well, the answer is a definite no.

HMD Global, the Finnish company that now takes responsibility to bear the Nokia name has publicized its upcoming Android phone that still bears Nokia's name on it. The Nokia 6 smartphone will only be accessible in China for the forthcoming months. But that is not the final statement of HMD Global for still there are more juicy details to be outed on Feb. 26 as stated in Nokia Mobile's Facebook post.

The Verge news outlet states that Feb. 26 is the same day where the Mobile World Congress show will start in Barcelona.

There is a very weak possibility (that is near null) that HMD Global will combine the super strong and resilient nature of the preceding Nokia phones with an Android system. Yet still, Nokia devices and gadgets have proved to be well off without that feature.

ExtremeTech says that back when iPhones were not a thing, Nokia was a pretty big deal in the markets. Running on simple Symbian databases, the smartphones still were pretty amazing and ran smoothly. Maybe, 2017 could be the comeback year for Nokia to regain back its glory days.

Although Nokia is not what it used to be after Microsoft purchased the brand's assets. Microsoft proceeded to consume all that it had bought from Nokia in order to complete its dream of a smartphone business.

Nokia could have been near to nothing if it had not partnered with Windows Phones and regained a little of its name back. Now, changing its track to Android much is expected off of HMD Global.
