‘PLL’ Season 7 Update: Emily-Alison relationship takes center stage? Actress Shay Mitchell hopeful

Fans of Emison (Emily-Alison) may be happy to know the latest reports that creator Marlene King hints possible inclusion of the budding couple's storyline in 'Pretty Little Liars' season 7. Actress Shay Mitchell is also hopeful for the development.

While viewers have seen a cute relationship going between Alison and Emily in previous seasons, their romance has never been given a chance to develop. But latest report from Enstarz speculates that 'Pretty Little Liars' season 7 might feature Emison romance.

The speculations surface after Marlene King hinted on Twitter saying "@etherealemison a hint in 701. Just sayin'." One of the fans named Lucy (@LSub7) asked her if next season will include Emison since King said that season 7 is the most romantic season. The creator replied, "@LSub17 it includes relationship happiness for Emily and Alison. Maybe together. Maybe separately. Summer is coming."

Actress Shay Mitchell, who plays Emily in 'PLL', is also hopeful for the budding couple to be featured next season. In an interview with Seventeen, she said "Alison endgame could be a thing, and she'll always have that spot for Alison that she cares about, so you never know... but she doesn't ever have a problem, she has a revolving door of girls."

While this sounds interesting especially for fans of Emison, it is yet to be known if the romance will be long term or short-lived. Mitchell also thought that Emily will be busy next season as she deals with lots of things, and she doesn't know if "she'll have time for any love in her life."

Meanwhile, other 'PLL' season 7 updates reveal that King already mapped out writing the script for the 1^st episode next season. According to Design & Trend, the upcoming episode will reveal new details about Alison and Hanna.

Aside from that, King has also been updating her fans with regards to filming and production of 'PLL' s7. Last week, she shared that they had their first production meeting for season 7. The next day, she also revealed that she had to get up early as it is her 1^st day back at work.
