‘Empire’ Season 2: Cookie’s birthday celebration leads to more sparks flying between exes; Lucious accuses Hakeem in Episode 13

'Empire' season 2 episode 13 will feature Cookie's birthday celebration. Jamal confronts her mother about her inevitable reconciliation with his father. Meanwhile, Lucious accuses his son Hakeem of killing Camilla.

Last episode of 'Empire' season 2, viewers saw the deaths of couple Camilla Marks and Mimi Whiteman. Camilla caused the death of Mimi by poisoning her. After the incident, Lucious broke into Camilla's apartment and saw the poison that she used to kill her partner.  At the time, Lucious told her that he can call the police so she will be imprisoned or she can kill herself by taking the pills. Since she did not want to be jailed, she took his advice.

In 'Empire' season 2 episode 13, Lucious is seen pretending that he does not know anything about the death of Camilla. And to get even with him, he accused Hakeem for killing Camilla. It can be remembered that Hakeem took his father's position as the CEO of Empire Entertainment.

But according to Yibada, Hakeem is only helping their family, which Lucious does not know. It is also the reason why he leaked his sex tape with Camilla and sent it to Mimi. With which caused Camilla and Mimi's relationship to fall apart.

On the other hand, Cookie is celebrating her birthday with her family and loved ones. Her favourite son Jamal confronts her about her budding closeness with his father once again. Jamal says to her mom that she is in love with him again, which Cookie replies that she and his father got something very deep.

Design & Trend reports that Cookie's birthday celebration will see the Lyon family and that will lead to more sparks flying between the matriarch and Lucious. As also seen in the 'Empire' season 2 episode 13 sneak peek, Cookie gives Lucious advice to tell his story in his music video. His mother can be seen in some scenes with her holding a gun.

Elsewhere, Hakeem is involved once again in a feud between Tiana and Laura. Tiana will learn about Hakeem's relationship with Laura and the tension will finally explode.
