'The Originals' Season 3 Spoilers: 'The Vampire Diaries' star Zach Roerig to appear as Matt Donovan

"The Vampire Diaries" star Zach Roerig will guest star as Matt Donovan in the upcoming episode of "The Originals" Season 3. Also, The CW has released the official plot description of episode 17 'Behind the Black Horizon' while last week's episode 16 'Alone With Everybody' is recapped for fans who have missed to watch it.

"The Vampire Diaries" star Zach Roerig officially signs in as a guest star in the upcoming episode of "The Originals" Season 3. According to TV Line, the 31-year-old American actor will play as Matt Donovan, the same role he is portraying in TVD.

As for the official plot synopsis of episode 17, Spoilers Guide notes, "When its discovered that Freya has been kidnapped, the Mikaelson brothers are forced to put aside their differences to save her. Elijah and Finn run into deputy Matt Donovan who does not take well to new vampires in his town. Klaus and Hayley work together to uncover the motive of Lucien's secret agendas, Kol's behavior leaves Davina concerned for their future together."

For a quick recap of "The Originals" Season 3 episode 16 entitled "Alone With Everybody", Celebrity Dirty Laundry reported that rumors about the last white oak bullet brought dangerous foes in New Orleans who intended to take down Klaus for good; Elijah urged his siblings to lay low at the compound.

"The Originals" Season 3 Episode 17 is entitled as "Behind the Black Horizon". The forthcoming episode is scheduled to premiere on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 8:00 p.m. first and exclusive on The CW.
