Steubenville: 53-Year-Old William Rhinaman Faces 4 Counts Of Cover Up In Ohio High School Rape Case (Video)

By

53-year-old William Rhinaman, director of technology at Steubenville High School, faces four counts of covering up two teenage boys who were  arrested and later convicted for raping a 16-year-old, CNN reported. Rhinaman was jailed Monday and held without bond after being indicted in connection with the case, the Ohio Attorney General's Office said.

Rhinaman also faces counts include "evidence tampering, obstructing justice, obstructing official business and perjury in connection with the case," CNN also reported.

Rhinaman could face four years in prison, if convicted, which would be longer than what the two convicted teenagers already received, earlier this year.

"This is the first indictment in an ongoing jury investigation in an ongoing grand jury investigation. Our goal remains to uncover the truth, and our investigation continues," Ohio Attorney General Mike De Wine said.

Authorities said high school football players Ma'lik Richmond and Trenton Mays raped the girl during a series of end-of-summer parties in August, 2012. They were convicted of rape in March. Richmond was sentenced to a minimum of one year and Mays got two years to serve at a juvenile correction facility  .

Rhinaman will be arraigned in Steubenville at the Jefferson County Court House on Wednesday, the attorney general's office spokesman Dan Tierney said, as reported by CNN.
