'Attack of Titan' Season 2 premiere pegged around early 2017; Director Araki faces difficulty in production?

Director Tetsuro Araki admitted that they are facing difficulties in producing "Attack on Titan" Season 2. The upcoming season which is slated to premiere around early 2017 will feature the Clash of Titans arc, the 104th Trainees Squad versus the mysterious Titans, and Eren Yeager's own decisive battle. Also, Kodansha Comic has authorized Ryosuke Fuji's manga adaptation.

Japanese director Tetsuro Araki revealed that the production for "Attack on Titan" Season 2 is currently underway. Araki stated, "Its rare to adapt manga with a storyline that's this impressive, so I will be extra cautious. I'll be mentally prepared to face the production challenges. To animate Shingeki no Kyojin is a cultural undertaking, I'll continue to treat it as an extensive series that requires much in-depth investigation and design", Yibada has cited.

In addition, the sophomore season will feature the Clash of Titans arc. According to Headlines and Global News, the upcoming arc will focus on the group of Titans gesturing the potential breach of Wall Rose; The bloody battle of the 104th Trainees Squad members versus the mysterious Titans, and Eren Yeager's decisive battle.

Other than that, Kodansha Comic officially announced that Ryosuke Fuji's manga adaptation based on Hiroshi Seko's spin-off novel "Attack on Titan: Lost Girls" has been authorized. Fuji's adaptation fatures the adventures of Eren Yeager's female friends Annie and Mikasa.

The novel is slated to come out around summer of this year however, no further details has been stated if the manga will be published in an English version, Anime News Network has reported.

The premiere episode of "Attakc on Titan" Season 2 is entitled as "The Strongest Hero". As of now, the official scheduled launch date of the sophomore season has not been released yet. However, speculations suggest that Isayama's anime adaptation will air later this 2016 or early 2017.

"Attack on Titan" is a Japanese manga series franchise which is written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama.
