Many are keeping an eye on Marvel's Captain Marvel who is set to be the studio's first female superhero to get a solo film. Although the film is still years away from hitting the theaters, Benedict Cumberbatch's Dr. Strange is already confirmed to appear in the movie. Writer Meg LeFauve also gave a brief update on the script.

Several actresses have been linked to the role of Carol Danvers for the upcoming Captain Marvel movie, and while the wait for official announcement continues, Inquisitr confirmed that Benedict Cumberbatch's Dr. Strange will make an appearance in the movie. Dr. Strange will star alongside Paul Rudd's Ant-Man and Chadwick Boseman's Black Panther.

The film is still in its early stages with writers Meg LeFauve and Nicole Perlman who are currently working on the screenplay. As reported by Geeks of Doom, LeFauve admitted that they are aware of the pressure to write the film and said that they are working on knowing and establishing the character of Captain Marvel. She also added that they are still in early stages of writing the film.

LeFauve also gave credit to Perlman, who is working on the project, in handling the pressure to write the film, and in developing the story of the character who will be the first Marvel heroine to get her solo film. "I think two ways. One is Nicole and I have each other, so we can help check each other of 'Let's just not get into that moment of paranoia that's swirling.", LeFauve said.

"Let's go back to the story, back to the story.' I think any bit of writing that you do when you get lost in the fear, my guiding light is to always go back to the character, kind of fight for the character, and who she is, and what story she wants to tell, and she'll be a specific character," she added.

It remains unclear when Marvel fans will get to see Captain Marvel in the big screen. However, there are rumors that she could first appear in one of the credits scenes for the upcoming Captain America: Civil War. According to /Film, directors Joe and Anthony Russo teased that there could be more than one credits scenes in the movie. These would serve as teasers for other upcoming films, leading some to think that Black Panther or Captain Marvel could appear in one if the scenes.

However, it is wise to take rumors about the project with a grain of salt as it is still in its early stages. The actress to play the role of Carol Danvers has not been confirmed, and no director has been tapped for the project yet. It is currently slated for release on March 08, 2019.
