‘XXX 3’ Cast, News: Miss Colombia 2015 Ariadna Gutierrez to play as Vin Diesel’s love interest?

'XXX 3', or 'XXX: The Return of Xander Cage', is an upcoming action film directed by D.J. Caruso. Vin Diesel is set to reprise his role as the titular protagonist. Miss Universe Colombia's Ariadna Gutierrez has also joined the new cast as Diesel's potential love interest.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Colombia's bet for the 2015 Miss Universe pageant Ariadna Gutierrez is set to join Vin Diesel in the upcoming action-thriller film as his love interest. She is set to play a character named Gina Roff. No further details regarding Gina have been released as of the present.

The 22-year old Colombian actress, model and television host-turned-beauty queen earned massive international fame after being wrongfully crowned Miss Universe by host Steve Harvey. The upcoming film will be her first big break into Hollywood. Her role as Gina will give her quite significant on-screen time as she reportedly has six scenes with three pages of dialogue.

Gutierrez joins the ensemble of strong female characters played by popular television actress Nina Dobrev, Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone, breakout star Ruby Rose and Golden Globe-awardee Toni Colette. According to Moviepilot, the line-up may be the best yet in the series.

New photographs featured behind-the-scenes peeks at the actresses at work. According to India Today, Padukone shared multiple photos on her personal social media accounts including one of her with co-star Donnie Yen. Rose, who plays Adele Wolff, also shared a photograph of herself in what looked to be a green military jumpsuit hugging Diesel.

Other cast members include popular martial artists Donnie Yen and Tony Jaa, wrestler Conor McGregor and Oscar-nominee Samuel L. Jackson. Diesel will reprise his role as the main protagonist Xander Cage, a spy for the National Security Agency.

Diesel will also be producing 'XXX 3', otherwise known as 'XXX: The Return of Xander Cage', together with Jeff Kirschenbaum, Joe Roth, Samantha Vinncent and Neal H. Moritz.

'XXX 3', entitled 'XXX: The Return of Xander Cage', is directed by D.J. Caruso based on a screenplay by F. Scott Frazier and Chad St. John. It is intended as the third installment in the 'XXX' action film series. It is scheduled to be released on January 20, 2017.
