Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE 19505 Gets Custom Upgrade to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow via Dirty Unicorn ROM: Update Guide

Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE just got custom support from Dirty Unicorns ROM for Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. First successfully ported from LG phones, Dirty Unicorns ROM comes packed with exclusive custom features and enhancements.

Dirty Unicorn custom ROM can now support Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow upgrade for Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE with model number I9505. Already being rolled out to other phones and tablets, Dirty Unicorns ROM has been proven fast, stable and smooth, bringing along with it a host of exclusive custom features and enhancements, plus some ported goodies from the official Marshmallow build.

Since installing ROMs voids device warranty, interested device owners are advised to take responsibility over their phones. Thus, any damage transpired with the device cannot be held against this site or the ROM's developers. Most importantly, be reminded not to use this ROM to any device not prescribed.

Below are the prerequisites of installing ROMs:

1.     Install TWRP Recovery here.

3.     Back up all necessary data here.

4.     Download USB driver here.

Below is a quick guide to install Dirty Unicorn on Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE I9505:

1.     Download on PC the Android 6.0.1 Dirty Unicorn ROM here and GApps here.

2.     Connect phone to PC using the USB cable.

3.     Copy then paste downloaded ROM to phone's memory or SD card.

4.     Switch off phone and plug it out from the PC.

5.     Go to Recovery Mode by press holding volume up, home and power buttons.

6.     Choose 'Wipe' to delete of data and 'Swipe to Factory Reset'.

7.     Go to main menu and choose 'Install'. Choose the copied ZIP file on the phone.

8.     Choose 'Swipe to Confirm Flash'.

9.     Wait for the installation to complete.

10.  When phone gets into any boot loops or other troubles, tap 'Wipe cache/dalvik' button.

11.  Choose 'Reboot System'.

Check the software version of the device on Settings > About phone.
