Rocket League Patch 1.12 Now Live; New Ban System, PS4 and PC Specified Tweaks Included

Game developer Psyonix has just rolled out a new Rocket League patch 1.12 adding a new ban system in online play plus various tweaks and bug fixes to improve the over-all gaming experience for the fans of the popular Physics-based soccer title. 

According to International Business Times, Rocket League Patch 1.12 is now available offering the inclusion of new ban system for players who are into modification which puts them in a distinct disadvantage in online play.

Various fixes on bugs such as the Skill Rating calculation, Ranked Reconnect pop-ups during gameplay, appropriate labelling of competitive games, issue of Ballcam where it requires enabling or disabling in post game screen.

For PS4 version, the new update will now allow gamers to look at old replay files and the Text Chat key binding to Controls menu is back. As for PC users, it addresses specific issues where party members were not displayed correctly on the main menu, graphical hitches in large Steam Friend Lists and others.

Online

  • Implemented automatic timed matchmaking ban system associated with players who delete content from their game files to avoid competitive matchmaking in certain arenas.

Bug Fixes

  • Skill Rating calculation has been fixed on the League Rankings screen and now accurately reflects your MMR
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Ranked Reconnect popup to appear improperly during gameplay
  • Fixed an issue that caused players to lose input in the Muting menu
  • Competitive games are now properly labeled on the in-game score card
  • Players will no longer incorrectly appear to be in a party on the scoreboard
  • Fixed an issue that allowed Ballcam to be enabled/disabled erroneously in the post game screen
  • (PS4) Players can once again view their old replay files
  • (PS4) Text Chat keybinding has returned to the Controls menu
  • (PC) Fixed an issue that displayed party members cars incorrectly in the main menu
  • (PC) Fixed an issue with how the Max FPS slider capped frame rate
  • (PC) Fixed an issue causing users with large Steam Friend Lists to experience graphical hitches

Developed by Psyonix, Rocket League is a popular soccer video game released in July last year for PS4 and PC hardware. The title is set to hit Xbox One tomorrow, February 17.
