'Scandal' lead actress Kerry Washington has hinted that fans will see a different Olivia Pope in Season 5B. Bellamy Young also revealed some details about the upcoming storylines of the Shonda Rhymes-created series. ABC, on the other hand, has released the official plot description for the newest episode entitled, "It's Hard Out Here For A General".
Lead actress Kerry Washington has teased fans via TV Line that the 2nd half of the 'Scandal" Season 5 will show a different Olivia Carolyn Pope. Washington stated that Olivia has definitely changed after the heartbreaking events her character has gone through at the end of Scandal's winter finale.
In more news, cast member Bellamy Young (who plays the character of Melody "Mellie" Grant) shared some details to Entertainment Weekly about the events of the future episodes of the Shonda Rhymes-created series. Young revealed that the real-life U.S. presidential campaign heating up the politic scenario has inspired the series scribes. The 45-year-old American actress teased that fans should expect some fresh storylines with a combination of fact and fictional events to the show.
As for the official synopsis of episode 10, Spoilers Guide notes, "Olivia Pope is red hot on the return of ABC's Scandal. It's been 6 months since Olivia Carolyn Pope and Pres. Fitzgerald Grant (Tony Goldwyn) have broken up, and they are both handling their newfound freedom in very different ways. Meanwhile, the Pope and Associates team take on a case that could lead to a national crisis on the red-hot return."
"Scandal" Season 5B returns with its 10th episode entitled as "It's Hard Out Here For A General". The upcoming episode is slated to premiere on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 9:00 p.m. exclusively on ABC.
