DOOM Possible Back Story Discussed; Customizable Maps a New Feature?

By

Bethesda's up and coming DOOM has stayed behind the shadows for quite a notable period of time. As 2016 has arrived, new bits and pieces have emerged about the game and such information ranges from the simple tendencies of oppositions to the gameplay attributes, and now, even the probable backstory of the latest expansion.

Previous reports noted that the forthcoming reboot simply titled DOOM has shared to the world some screenshots of what horrendous abominations players will be facing. It was also revealed that in terms of gameplay, players will have the opportunity to morph into a Revenant under certain conditions giving the feel of a more gory and bloodthirsty multiplayer field that the franchise was recognized for. There are, however, some fresh details that were leaked that can prove to be rather interesting.

According to PlayStation Lifestyle, DOOM's back story has been said to revolve around Dr. Olivia Pierce, wherein she is pointed to be the very source of the chaotic entities being disseminated across the earth. Moreover, there were rather amusing notes that the said lore may point to a religious anomaly or occultation in the works, but all is yet to be fully confirmed.

On a more positive note, as per Shack News, DOOM was said to have adopted a different approach in terms of stages and maps, being said that the particular title will be giving players a chance to customize in-game contents. Similar to Nintendo's Super Mario Maker, DOOM may allow players to dress up their own stages as they please, engaging in a creative war of challenges and puzzling possibilities.

DOOM is expected to hit the market by June 30th, 2016. Although the claim is still to be clarified by Bethesda and ID Software, both companies guarantee that the reboot will retain the essence of the other titles while bringing something fresh and new to the table
