Microsoft to release the newest Windows 10 for Nokia Lumia 640 this January

Windows, the Operating System of Nokia's smartphones is set to released the newest Windows 10 for the Lumia smartphones line-up. For how many months of waiting for development, it is now apparent that Windows will give Lumia 640 its much-awaited update anytime this month.

According to IB Times, Microsoft has now started working on an app called Upgrade Advisor, this software will notify users if their phone is eligible for Windows 10 update. This Mobile Upgrade Advisor will basically tell the Windows 8.1 users on how to upgrade and if their device is compatible with Windows 10. The software also helps in freeing up space for the upgrade. This particular app is yet to be released in public.

The Mobile Upgrade Advisor also tells the user if an update is required before they can upgrade to a higher OS. It will prompt Lumia 640 users to free up space automatically. It will also recommend some useful applications on where to save photos, videos, and other large files as reported by Win Super Site.

Mobile Upgrade Advisor in Lumia 640 will allow user to move the files to an SD card or to an application called OneDrive. If the upgrade is completed users can either reinstall the SD card or open the app and restore it to the new Windows 10.

As reported by GSM Arena, the update to Windows 10 was scheduled to be released by the end of 2015 but it was cancelled due to some unknown reasons but is expected to come out anytime this month. Initially, the software giant announced earlier that these update is also available to phones like Lumia430, Lumia 532, Lumia 535, Lumia 540, Lumia 735, Lumia 830, and Lumia 930 and other 8.0 based phones.

A lot of consumers say that they cannot relate to this newest advancement from Windows since majority of them are Android and iOS users. However, for people following Windows operated phones, Lumia 640 is sure to be a welcoming treat.
