Moto X Play Android 6.0 Marshmallow Official Release Update

Motorola has been making sound in the tech department as the company is bound for a complete overhaul, including its name. Additionally, one company executive has also revealed that Android 6.0 Marshmallow software's official roll out is bound for the 2015 flagship device, Moto X Play. Per statement from tech sites, Marshmallow will hit the devices in the United States before January will end.

Moto X Play took center stage today as it has been reported to hit the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update early this year. As Moto X Pure Edition (2015) and Moto G (2015) have been updated with Marshmallow early on, Moto X Play is expected to follow suit.

Despite the device had just been updated with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, it was revealed by Mo Versi, Senior VP for Product Management, on Twitter that Moto X Play is coming near to the Marshmallow upgrade along with Moto X Force.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow update is get improvements in app permissions, web experience, mobile payments, app link, battery, storage, menu, and user interface.

App permissions can individually deny or allow apps. Permission invitation will show up when the app is being launched and not at the point of installation.

App link is better improved; launching app links can be done over appropriate apps without re-prompting users which makes it more comfortable and user-friendly.

Automatic backup and restore can be used for apps, data, files, message, settings, location, etc. to save on Google Drive and can be downloaded after when transferring to another device or formatting it. However, per app is only limited to 25 MB and will not be counted to Google Drive's limits.

Another new Marshmallow improvement is the system user interface tuner. Marshmallow makes management of quick settings toggles and status bar icons better. Users also have the option to remove and add titles in Quick Settings menu, while it facilitates the status bar notifications better.
