Cyberpunk 2077 Release Date by End of 2016? Futuristic Title to be CD Projekt RED's Biggest Ever

CD Projeck RED's upcoming action role-playing video game Cyberpunk 2077 might come out by December this year. It is also claimed to be much bigger than the developer's massively succesful title, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. 

According to PC Gamer, there are unconfirmed rumors that the futuristic game might arrive by the end of this year as revealed by Gamereactor Germany who cited a source close to CD Projekt RED.

CD Projekt RED's reservation in giving information about Cyberpunk 2077 is because they are probably focused on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's second expansion Blood and Wine which is scheduled to come out early this year.

The game's senior writer Jakub Szamalek in an interview with Eurogamer Italy (via Steam) gives a hint about this who said, "Blood and Wine will be our conclusion of the story of Geralt, then it's time to focus with all the energy of Cyberpunk 2077."

Also, Youth Health Mag  reported that there is a dim chance for the game's release date for PS4, PC and Xbox One this year and its original release will only be for PC. However, the game is expected to hit the next gen consoles including mobile phones and tabs.

Cyberpunk 2077 which is based from Mike Pondsmith's tabletop games and CD Projekt RED's Cyberpunk series was announced in 2012, is supposedly a "multi-thread, non-linear story designed for mature players" which is set around the metropolis of Night City, the report added.

Cyberpunk 2077 is expected to will be much, much bigger than The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and said to be the biggest game CD Projekt RED has ever made, Xbox Achievements reported. In addition, CD Projekt RED visual effects artist Jose Teixeira described how big the game will be:

"Cyberpunk is far bigger than anything else that CD Projekt Red has done before. Far, far bigger. We're really stepping into the unknown in terms of complexity and size and problems we encounter."

Cyberpunk 2077 still doesn't have an official release date yet but it is rumored to arrive on PS4, Xbox One, and PC around Winter season this year.
