A Disney star from the 90s was found dead in his home in Glendale, California on Sunday. The actor was 31-year-old Michael Galeota, who was most famous for his portrayal as Nick Lighter in "The Jersey." The family of the actor made the announcement of the actor's death through a GoFundMe page, which was set up to help pay for his funeral. According to the announcement, a friend dropped by the actor's apartment after they were unable to contact him. It was here where they found him dead on the living room floor.

Prior to his death, Galeota had earlier complained of a painful stomach last week. He had left the hospital on Wednesday, despite his doctors' advice. As of this writing, the cause of death of the actor has not yet been established officially. Despite this, the LA County Coroner's office has revealed that the actor had been dealing with a number of health issues for a while now. Among these include hypertension and high cholesterol. A source has shared information that Galeota was not following medical advice even with his history of diverticulitis. An autopsy is waiting to be done to determine the cause of death.

Apart from the Disney series, Galeota also had roles in "ER" and "Ally McBeal" when he became a teenager. His last on-screen appearance was in "The Nightmare Room." After that, he became a mainstay on the TV series "The Jersey," which ran from 1999 to 2004. When he stopped acting, the actor dealt with some troubles including three DUIs in the past 10 years and also spending some time behind bars on a 'few occasions.' This included a previous alcohol-related probation.

The page on GoFundMe was set up to help cover funeral costs. Right now, it has been able to raise $18,000 from its goal of $25,000.
