According to several reports, pop stars Selena Gomez and Niall Horan are having a break in their relationship as they are rumored to be spending time away from each other.
Rumors of Selena Gomez and the One Direction member, Niall Horan, dating first appeared in December late last year. However, after just a month of being together, the famous pair is allegedly on a break. Horan is known to be a close friend of Justin Bieber, who famously dated Gomez back in 2011 until early 2015.
According to a source who spoke to Hollywood Life, the One Direction member is low maintenance when it comes to relationships and that he is content with the "friends with benefits" status. This goes to show that the couple's busy schedules might be getting in the way of a more serious relationship.
"Niall is happy to wait and not have her worry about things and if they hang out and hook up again he will be OK with the friends with benefits things as well," said the source to Hollywood Life. The insider added that while the pair went on to pursue their separate ways at the moment, the flame of their relationship will not die out anytime soon.
"He is really taking things very well and believing it will all work out to his advantage in the long run. So they are not dating right now but it is certainly not out of the woods in the future," added the source in the same report
The same report mentioned that Gomez and Horan might have some time together come winter season, and that the pair might have some improvements in their relationship when they get to "see each other more often."
"If it can only be a friendship right now, he is happy with that moving forward," states another source in the same report.
The dating rumors between Horan and Gomez first surfaced after the two were seen getting close to each other during Jenna Dewan-Tatum's birthday bash. The next day after the party, the pair was seen in Santa Monica Pier with their friends, as reported by US Weekly.
