'Grey's Anatomy' Season 12 Spoilers: Set Photos Released, Show Wins Big at the 2016 People's Choice Awards

"Grey's Anatomy" Season 12 is yet to come back for the second half of the season this February but the show already released some behind the scenes photos. This is to make up for not appearing at the 2016 People's Choice Awards.

In a report by International Business Times, some of the favorite actors and actresses for the show were not able to appear for the event but Giacomo Gianniotti, one of the actors on the show playing the role of the hottie and new character Andrew, said that they have a valid reason.

He took to Twitter to post a set photo and captioned it with the following: "Sorry we couldn't make it to the #PCA's guys, but we have some friends repping there for us."

In the photo, the viewers can see that Gianniotti, Jason George, and Jessica Capshaw were all wearing scrubs so this means they are shooting scenes for the new episodes of the ABC series. Capshaw posted the same photo on her Instagram account noting that despite they were not at the awards show physically, they are there in spirit.

More on the People's Choice Awards win, ABC News reported that "Grey's Anatomy" won the award for Favorite Network TV Drama. Ellen Pompeo and the other cast members went to stage and she said, "Our show is about understanding and compassion and tolerance and kindness and those are themes that we could all use more of, so I'm so proud of our show and the stories that we tell."

Pompeo also won the Favorite Dramatic TV Actress for the second year in the row for her role as Meredith Grey on "Grey's Anatomy.:"

Just a recap, Ecumenical News reported that "Grey's Anatomy" Season 12's mid-season finale entitled "Things We Lost In Fire" showed Owen divulging to Meredith that he has a sister. The winter premiere entitled "The Sound of Silence" has been described by creator Shonda Rhimes as an extraordinary and very powerful episode directed by Denzel Washington.

"Grey's Anatomy" Season 12 won big during the recently held People's Choice Awards and set photos were released. The show will be back in the small screen this February 11 at 8 P.M. on ABC.
