Apple Music to expand to Beats 2, 3, and 4

Apple has announced that it will expand its radio lineup soon. This means that Apple-owned Beats Electronics will introduce more live streaming radio stations to Apple Music. Such announcement has been made after filing applications with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in November.

According to Panarmenian, it appears that the radio lineup will expand through Beats 2, Beats 3, Beats 4, and Beats 5. The report said that the applications were first published in French blog Consomac. From the report, applications for both names of the station and the logos, which include stylized letter "b" followed by the station number, were noted.

More so, Engadget mentioned that there is no such clear information yet on the content of the new stations. Nevertheless, the report stated that Apple conducts an event every spring and this might be the time that the new radio stations will be discussed in details.

At the moment, Beats 1 station serves as a place for artist interviews, launch of new tracks and albums, and live-streaming home for Apple's Music FestivalTech Crunch noted. In here, DJs, led by Zane Lowe, select the musical content programmed. More so, some innovations are getting involved in the service. Some of these are artists who create partnership with the company for their albums and concert videos. It is known that lately, Taylor Swift has collaborated with Apple Music for her "The 1989 World Tour" concert video.

On other hand, an exclusive page for Apple Music noted that Beats 1 is available worldwide and it is broadcasting on Apple Music. According to the related report, Apple CEO Tim Cook said that there are already almost 15 million users, including 6.5 million paying subscribers.

Meanwhile, Apple Music is also available in Google Play Store for Android users. The service offers three month free trial for over 30 million songs in the catalog.
