Rob Kardashian Diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes

By

Rob Kardashian, brother of the ever famous Kim Kardashian-West, has been diagnosed with diabetes ketoacidosis. The 28-year-old (former) reality TV star was taken to a hospital in Los Angeles on Sunday after he was reported to have been feeling terrible the entire weekend. After a series of tests, Rob was diagnosed with a serious complication of diabetes called diabetic ketoacidosis. This condition occurs when an individual's body produces a high level of ketones or blood acids.

According to reports, Rob did not know he was diabetic. If he had not taken precautionary measures and headed to the hospital, he could have went into a diabetic coma.

Rob dropped out of the spotlight over a year ago. He used to be a big part of the family's reality show series entitled "Keeping Up With the Kardashians." Just a few months ago, his mom, Kris Jenner, revealed in an episode that Rob had already gained 100 pounds. He has reportedly been battling with depression and weight gain for years. According to the momager (mom + manager), she cries herself to sleep every night worrying about her only son. Rob's sisters, Kim and Khloe, have reached out to him to help him get back in shape and have even offered to hire a chef for him. In September, it was reported that Rob was planning to make a comeback. He had been working out with celebrity trainer Gunnar Peterson and had already shed off over 15 pounds. Rob has also been following a personalized eating plan.

Thankfully, there is a way for Rob to recover. According to the doctors, all Rob has to do is start eating well and have a healthy lifestyle. With this, he can get his type 2 diabetes in control and even have it go into remission.

As of this writing, Rob has returned home and is taking a rest.
