‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 official trailer released; Megan Fox's April O'Neil meets Stephen Amell’s Casey Jones

'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Out of the Shadows' released its first full trailer promising more action-packed scenes as well as new characters. It also featured Megan Fox's April O'Neil meeting Stephen Amell's Casey Jones for the first time in the cinematic reboot.

According to The Verge, the newest official trailer for the TMNT sequel has finally been released just after the debut of a short teaser a while back. It brought to life familiar characters from the first film as well as new good guys and villains including Gary Anthony Williams' Bebop and Stephen Farrelly's Rocksteady.

One specific scene in the trailer showed Megan Fox's April O'Neil getting acquainted with Stephen Amell's Casey Jones. Somewhere in the original storyline, April and Casey became romantically involved although it is unclear whether their relationship will be of focus in the upcoming live-action adaptation.

Fox played the iconic Channel 6 reporter in the first reboot released in 2014. She received the Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Supporting Actress for her performance. Despite the criticism, she is poised to reprise her role as the Turtles' good friend and ally.

The upcoming film definitely won't be lacking in gorgeous Hollywood bombshells. In addition to Fox's return, Victoria's Secret beauty Alessandra Ambrosio will also be making an appearance as Will Arnett's on-screen girlfriend, according to Uproxx.

Fox shared her optimism for the success of 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Out of the Shadows' acknowledging the talents of new director Dave Green. According to Cinema Blend, she pointed out that Green's passion for the original series alone would make it a winning combination for the sequel. She said, "They hired a director who's a super fan of the Turtles, they figured out the tone of the movie should be funny. This isn't Turtles in Gotham City, that's the wrong way to take it."

'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Out of the Shadows' is an upcoming 3D action-comedy film based on the amphibious superheroes of the same name first created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. It is scheduled to be released on June 3, 2017. It is directed by Dave Green based on the screenplay by Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec.
