Fans Hail Minecraft Wii U Success a Meteoric Rise

Minecraft's release for Wii U fashioned an unexpected success for the game.

Destructoid did not foreseen Minecraft: Wii U Edition would be a huge success considering its unpunctually coming to Wii U. The game also lacks Gamepad inventory management and cost $29.99. However, few days after its released the demand for Minecraft: Wii U Edition is high.

According to the source, the game even topped the charts in Japan. Minecraft: Wii U Edition claimed the ninth spot on the record of chart-topping Wii U eShop titles to date. The game is number one among the recent releases.

Minecraft: Wii U Edition's feat is even dubbed as meteoric rise by Nintendo Life. Although the release of the game to Wii U version transpired rather hastily, the demand of the game in the console is confirmed. Fans claim that the Wii U version will expand the influence of Minecraft as it spreads to new audiences.

The site also established that Minecraft Wii U Edition lands ninth best-selling game of all time in Japan. What is more impressive is the game is out for not more than two weeks.

iDigital Times called Minecraft Wii U Edition a total gamechanger especially the off-TV feature is a reason to buy the game. The PS4 and Xbox One versions came out last year.  Minecraft is an immensely successful indie game offered on many platforms and the game might help Wii U for comeback. The Wii U Edition will definitely support the game to gain some new fans. Nintendo systems are the first console of choosing for many parents.

Minecraft, a sandbox video game is initially created by Swedish programmer Markus "Notch" Persson. Minecraft is later developed and published by Mojang. The game is available for PlayStation 3 and 4, PlayStation Vita, and Xbox One and 360 and now for Wii U.
