Bill Cosby accuses Beverly Johnson of Defamation; Comedian says he never drugged the model, her story is a lie

It's a never-ending accusation for Bill Cosby and those that accused him as well. It appears that Bill Cosby is preparing his legal countermeasures against the first black model of Vogue, Beverly Johnson.

It was reported earlier by The New York Times, the woman, Beverly Johnson appeared on the cover of the American edition of Vogue, in 1974 and she had accused the entertainer, Bill Cosby of drugging her.

However, Bill Cosby defended himself. He filed his own counter affidavit against Johnson and according to the same report, the case was filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court in California. It also showed how Ms. Johnson actions were "false, malicious, opportunistic and defamatory" and says she did it in "attempt to revive her flagging career."

Moreover, Mr. Cosby's lawyer, Monique Pressley, said, "Mr. Cosby states that he never drugged defendant and her story is a lie, and the lawsuit contends what Ms. Johnson's memoir has strongly mentioned.

Also, USA Today reported in a video that Beverly Johnson has joined the list of sexual assault accusers Bill Cosby is suing for defamation. It seems that it is not just her but there are other women out there that have voiced out their own accusations against Bill.

Meanwhile, ABC News reports that Cosby wants full compensatory and punitive damages, a retraction of Johnson's statements, as well as the removal of the chapter from her memoir in which the incident is mentioned. Not only that, but Cosby also demanded that unsold copies of her memoir be removed from circulation.

Mr. Cosby stated that he never drugged the defendant and her story is a total lie. He further added that the fabricated accusations are nothing more than a personal attempt to revitalize Johnson's dying career. Even Johnson is aware of the counter measures thrown against her. She retaliated in an interview by saying, "I am aware of the statements from Bill Cosby, and in cases of rape and abuse, abusers will do whatever they can to intimidate and weaken their victims to force them to stop fighting. I ask for your support of all of the victims involved. Thank you."

The case is still ongoing and the outcome remains to be seen. It is still uncertain if Crosby will win or Johnson will attain victory. But what is certain is that both of them are more than eager to prove their claim and attain vindication over another.
