Eva Carneiro's legal battle against José Mourinho to continue despite manager's Chelsea departure

Eva Carneiro's personal legal battle against José Mourinho will continue despite the fact that he is no longer a part of Chelsea Team. Initial hearing is set on January 6^th at a tribunal in Croydon.

According to Mirror, the former Chelsea team doctor is appealing constructive dismissal against Chelsea and also has a separate but associated case against former manager Mourinho due to alleged victimization and discrimination.

It is comprehended that the constructive dismissal claim embraces the possibility of Carneiro being reinstated if Mourinho left the club. However, no moves have been done yet to explore that situation taking place.

According to some sources, Carneiro's relations with Chelsea's technical director Michael Emenalo were also strained.

Irish Times reported that Carneiro is not in Britain now, but Chelsea is reported to have filed a defense before the deadline ahead of an initial hearing at a tribunal in Croydon on January 6th.

The 42-year-old sports medicine specialist has been dropped from first-team duties after Mourinho condemned her and the first-team physio Jon Fearn for going onto the pitch to treat Eden Hazard on the opening day of the season. The said action meant that Chelsea was temporarily down to nine men against Swansea, and afterwards Mourinho called Carneiro and Fearn "impulsive and naive".

Carneiro did not appear on the bench again for first-team duties and has parted company with the club, stated The Guardian.

He has been cleared of using discriminatory language towards her but an investigation by the Football Association followed suit.

FIFA's medical committee chairman, Michel D'Hooghe, has supported Carneiro, saying that she was simply doing her job.

Although former team manager José Mourinho has been axed on the London-based football team, Chelsea, his legal battle with Eva Carneiro is set to continue next month.
