Kate Middleton Sues French Magazine “Closer” Over Topless Pictures

By

The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton has filed suit against the French gossip magazine, "Closer," for publishing topless pictures of her. According to Radar Online, the royal palace released a legal statement as follows, "legal proceedings for breach of privacy have been commenced today in France" by the royal couple, which they described as "grotesque and totally unjustifiable."

The French tabloid magazine took pictures of Middleton sunbathing while vacationing at the private residence of the Queen's nephew Viscount Linley, Château d'Autet. The royal family is suing the magazine for invasion of privacy.

Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge continue their 11-day Far-East Diamond Jubilee tour.

Royal officials have confirmed that the pictures are authentic and say that legal action against the magazine was under consideration. The Royal house berated the magazine saying that publishing the private pictures was "grotesque and totally unjustifiable," and not to mention an invasion of privacy, as reported the Associated Press.

St. James's Palace official in London told the AP, "Their Royal Highnesses had every expectation of privacy in the remote house. It is unthinkable that anyone should take such photographs, let alone publish them...We feel a line has been crossed with their publication."

On Saturday, the royal couple arrives at the Solomon Islands. On Friday, the royal couple continues touring the nation of Malaysia. Prince William and Kate attended a luncheon with at the British High Commission in Kuala Lumpur, before which they visited a mosque. Now the couple leaves to their next stop, the Solomon Islands.

On Thursday Kate Middleton and Prince Williams left Singapore and arrived in Malaysia as a part of their 11-day Far-East Diamond Jubilee Tour.

The royal couple visited Hospis, Malaysia, where Middleton made a public address. Later the newly wed will attend an official dinner with the head of state at the residence of the Agong in Istana Negara in Kuala Lumpur.

The past few days, the princess created quite a stir when she refused to drink alcohol and instead opted for water, not once but twice! This of course has been taken by many in the media as a sign that the Duchess might be pregnant.

The couple celebrated their one year anniversary in April. Kate and William, both 30, have been under constant media speculation as the pregnancy. "Things like this; people do look at them and wonder if they are signs... People are whispering and going on, "Is she pregnant?  Is she pregnant?" said The Mirror's Victoria Murphy to ABC News.

In an interview with Katie Couric, Prince Williams said on the topic, "I'm just very keen to have a family and both Catherine and I, you know, are looking forward to having a family in the future... You won't get anything out of me. Tight lipped," as reported by ABC News.
