A former upstate New York teacher known as "Major Hands" has been indicted on a federal charge alleging he ran prostitution parties and facilitated commercial sex transactions out of his Macedon home for nearly four years, prosecutors say.
Eric Simpson, 66, is charged with one count of using interstate facilities to promote, manage, establish, carry on, and facilitate a prostitution enterprise, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of New York.
The alleged conduct ran from 2021 through December 2025 at his residence on Canandaigua Road in Macedon, near Rochester. If convicted, he faces up to five years in federal prison, according to People.
Prosecutors allege Simpson used his home as a site where commercial sex workers met customers and engaged in commercial sex transactions. Indictment documents state he "regularly promoted, managed, and carried on prostitution parties" there and arranged for sex workers to be present for him and invited guests. He also allegedly allowed workers to use the house to meet clients even when he was not home.
Investigators say Simpson promoted the events by email, using a Gmail account to send invitations and manage logistics. The emails allegedly listed how many women would attend, sometimes identifying them by first name, and described which services would be available. Messages also told guests where to park so cars would not be too close to the house.
According to the indictment, Simpson set cover charges for admission and designated rooms and other accommodations for partygoers, Syracuse reported. Emails allegedly directed customers to negotiate "donations" for sexual services directly with the "dancers." Prosecutors say he used online communications as interstate facilities that support the federal charge.
Simpson previously worked as a substitute and middle school computer science teacher in the Gananda Central School District and later as a technology teacher in the North Rose-Wolcott Central School District.
Gananda officials said his service there ended in August 2024, while North Rose-Wolcott said he was employed from August 2024 until his resignation in January 2026. The North Rose-Wolcott district noted he passed state-required background checks, including fingerprinting and a sex offender registry search, before being hired.
Simpson, a retired New York National Guard member nicknamed "Major Hands," was recently arraigned in federal court and has pleaded not guilty. He has been released under conditions while the case proceeds. Prosecutors emphasized that the indictment contains allegations and that Simpson is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court, as per Outkick.
