Wisconsin authorities have revealed what they believe happened to a 22-year-old woman who disappeared July 20.

Eliotte Heinz was last seen after leaving a bar in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Her body was found three days later in the Mississippi River near Brownsville, Minnesota, police said.

This week, the La Crosse County Medical Examiner released it's autopsy results. The office ruled that Heinz's death was the result of an accidental drowning, WWNY-7 reported. A preliminary report previously indicated that police did not suspect foul play.

The autopsy found that Heinz had a blood-alcohol content of 0.193 at the time of her death, twice the legal limit allowed to drive a vehicle in Wisconsin, WWNY-7 reported.

Heinz was a student at Viterbo University in La Crosse.

"Viterbo University joins the Heinz family, the La Crosse community, and all who knew and loved Eliotte in mourning her tragic passing. We are heartbroken by this loss and extend our deepest sympathies to her family and friends," a statement from the university to WBAY-2 stated.

"There are no words that can ease the pain of losing someone so young, with so much life ahead of her. Our hearts go out to Eliotte's family. We hold them in our prayers and stand with them in their grief," Viterbo University President Dr. Rick Trietley said in a statement to WBAY-2.
