A sheriff's deputy in Florida's Miami-Dade county has been arrested after threatening to kill the minor that she was allegedly having an affair with.
51-year-old Carle Miranda Blum, a deputy working for the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office, was arrested and charged with receipt of visual depictions involving the sexual exploitation of minors and production of visual depictions involving the sexual exploitation of minors on Wednesday.
Blum recorded herself and the minor engaging in sexual activity, travelled across state lines to see the minor and maintain the relationship, and even threatened to kill the young girl when their relationship got difficult, according to a press release from the US attorney's office for the southern district of Florida.
"According to the complaint, Blum received multiple videos and images of the victim, who was 17 years old at the time, engaged in sexually explicit conduct. In the spring of 2025, Blum traveled to Atlanta, Georgia, where she recorded multiple videos of herself engaging in sex acts with the then-minor victim," the press reveal stated.
FBI Special Agent Nicole D. Harris-Correa revealed that the MDSO was notified of the relationship between Blum and the minor by an anonymous witness, according to the federal criminal complaint obtained by WPLG.
The witness "disclosed that the (girl)'s mental health had significantly deteriorated (over) the past year and during the time she was involved in the relationship with" Blum.
Blum also sent the minor sexually explicit messages on social media, especially through her Instagram account "@kibblz_n_bitz". She provided a countdown to when the girl was to turn 18, told her she intended to marry her and said sexually violent things to her.
"I really need to RAPE your a--" Blum said, later telling her "You know I don't think I've ever asked a lot from you. The only thing I ever wanted was your attention. I even stopped asking a long time ago (for) anything sexual from you (pics, videos sex talk etc.)..."
She also threatened to murder the minor.
"Leave me and see what happens," federal agents reveal Blum told the teen. "I will f---ing drive my favorite knife thru (sic) your throat and watch you slowly. I swear on my granparents (sic)."
