A 97-year-old woman froze to death after her daughter allegedly intentionally left her outside overnight in January.

Corrye Brewer was visiting family in Falcon, Colorado, when she was reported missing on Jan. 25. Two days later, Brewer's body was found outside a vacant home in Calhan, about 20 minutes from where she was staying with family, WFLA reported.

El Paso County Coroner's Office ruled Brewer's death a homicide after a coroner's report revealed she had most likely been intentionally left out in the cold "without any way to return home, get adequate shelter, or call for help."

Brewer's daughter allegedly dropped her off at the home on Jan. 24 and left her without a cell phone or her walker. That night, it was snowing and temperatures reached as low as 16 degrees.

The investigation is ongoing, and no one has yet been charged with Brewer's death.
