An Amazon delivery driver in Florida saved a woman's life after she asked him to help her when he arrived at her door.

On March 28, a woman whispered, "Help me," to her delivery driver from behind her front door while her ex-husband, Frank Mandolini, 43, sat on the front porch. The driver noticed she had "obvious red marks around her neck" and immediately contacted police when he returned to his van, WPTV reported.

The woman told police Mandolini grabbed her by the neck, dragged her across the floor and choked her to the point that she felt she was about to "lose consciousness and almost blacked out" before he let her go, the woman told police in a statement obtained by WPTV.

She added the fight started after she confronted Mandolini about using his tablet to "talk to other women or watch porn," the affidavit stated.

After his arrest, Mandolini admitted to police that he choked his ex-wife but not to the point of her losing consciousness. Mandolini, who was previously charged with a domestic violence battery charge, was accused of one count of felony battery by strangulation.

Mandolini posted a $30,000 bail and expected back in court on June 5.
