Police dash camera footage captured the moment where a baby was thrown from a moving vehicle as the dad sped away from Ohio police.

After learning that Zachary Chervenka, 32, had a warrant for his arrest out of Indiana, police attempted to arrest the man on Dec. 1 at a Walmart in Bryan, Ohio. However, Chervenka reportedly got into his vehicle with two kids inside and drove away, according to the Bryan Police Department.

Police proceeded to chase the vehicle, which reached speeds of up to 100 mph. His van's door was reportedly open during this as a 9-month-old baby and 5-year-old child sat inside, as reported by WLS-TV.

In dash cam footage shared with the station, the infant is thrown out of the vehicle in its car seat as the van takes a sharp turn, which police reportedly did not see. The baby was found about an hour later in an emotional reunion with the mother, who was left behind by Chervenka in the Walmart parking lot.

"Oh my God, baby boy, baby boy," the mother can be heard saying in body cam footage shared. "He so cold! It's OK, mama is here."

The child was taken to the hospital where Bryan police said they were reported to be in fair condition. Although, an ER doctor told police that the infant's condition "could have been life-threatening if he was left out in the cold for much longer," as reported by WPTA.

Police ended the chase due to bad weather conditions, but Chervanka called his wife to let her know that he had dropped the 5-year-old off at a friend's house. He was arrested the following day at an apartment complex.

Chervenka was charged with two counts of child endangerment and one count of fleeing law enforcement. His previous arrest warrants were for charges of identity deception, theft and criminal recklessness, among other charges, as reported by WPTA.
