Police arrested the parents of a wealthy Utah mom accused of killing her National Guardsman husband in his sleep while she had an affair with another man.

Thomas Ray Gledhill, 71, and Rosalie Christianson Gledhill, 67, were taken into custody Thursday on charges of obstruction of justice for their alleged part in the slaying of their son-in-law, Matthew Johnson, 51, according to police in Cottonwood Heights, Utah, KUTV-TV reported.

It's unclear if the Gledhills entered pleas to the charges.

Their 41-year-old daughter, Jennifer Gledhill, is accused of shooting Johnson while he slept, stuffing his body in a storage container, and burying him in a shallow grave, according to police.

Jennifer reported her husband missing Sept. 28 after claiming she had not seen him for more than a week following a verbal argument.

She was subsequently arrested Oct. 2 on a first-degree murder charge after her boyfriend allegedly informed investigators that she confessed to him that she murdered Matthew.

Investigators allegedly discovered blood stains in the couple's bedroom, beneath a brand new bed believed to have been purchased by Rosalie.

Police suspect the Gledhills also helped Jennifer clean the crime scene after the alleged killing.

The mattress that police surmise Matthew was murdered on, as well as his body, have yet to be found.

Police said Jennifer and Matthew had been considering divorce since July.

The couple shared three children under the age of 11.
