A frantic search is underway for a missing California teen, as his father, battling time and uncertainty, pleads for help, fearing that "every moment he is missing makes it harder to find him.

Shaun Loyer has created a GoFundMe for his 16-year-old son, Shaun Michael Loyer Jr. He writes he's a single dad with very limited resources, as the missing teen has prompted a massive search.

The 16-year-old was reported missing on September 7 and was last seen at the Irvine Spectrum around 12:20 a.m. on September 8th.

Loyer wrote that every moment he is missing only makes it harder to find him. He's searched tirelessly throughout Irvine, San Clemente, and several other areas.

Both the Sheriff's Department and Irvine PD are actively looking for Loyer Jr., he says, but they are still in need of the public's assistance.

He expresses that, as a heartbroken and overwhelmed parent, he cannot do this alone.

The campaign has raised $3,535 out of a $5,000 goal.

Loyer Jr. is described as having a buzz haircut, standing at about 5'10," and having reddish-blond hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a black jacket, a camouflage bandana, a Bass Pro hat, dark pants, a white t-shirt, and carrying a motorcycle helmet.
