After allegedly shooting his neighbor dead, a Florida man asked the victim: "How do you like me, now?" immediately following the fatal incident, authorities said.

Clinton "CJ" Robinson, Jr., 38, has been charged with first-degree murder, tampering with evidence, and a slew of drug-related offenses, in connection with the death of his neighbor, 32-year old Alfredo "Freddie" Alfaro-Astello, in Lakeland, Florida, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Office.

It's unclear if Robinson entered pleas to any of the charges.

Investigators allege Robinson shot Alfaro-Astello at least four times in a "targeted event" Tuesday morning, according to Sheriff Grady Judd.

Details of what led to the fatal shooting remain unclear.

Witnesses said the men had a history of arguing and that Robinson approached the victim, pulled out a gun, and fired off multiple rounds into Alfaro-Astello.

As smoke emerged from the gun, the suspect was heard saying, "How do you like me now?" as he walked away from the victim, witnesses told investigators.

Robinson was later located and arrested.
