Leading federalism scholar Heather Gerken selected to be next dean of Yale Law School

Yale Law of School is considered as the highest ranked law college of the USA. The Yale law of school has appointed professor Heather Gerken as the new dean of the college. Heather is the first woman dean of the college and many people think he is the perfect choice for the job. At the same time, there are many people who believe that he is the perfect person who has the ability to make the American federalism great again.

Gerken is also quite popular for his works and her most influential works are Dissenting by Deciding, Federalism all the way down, Second order diversity etc. Her works have significantly influenced the subnational jurisdictions and at the same time, minorities have played a major role in the local politics. In one of her books named 'A New Progressive Federalism', she explained how federalism can be used to counter Donald Trump.

Besides her admirable work in the field of federalism, she is also known for her contribution in various fields. She is very much known for her ideological diversity which is rare to find in the field of studies nowadays. Simultaneously she is also known for her contribution in the academics as well. After getting selected as the new dean of the Yale law school there is an expectation that she will help to do a fair bit of improvement in the law school.
