"Split" has been a success for M. Night Shayamalan. It gained positive reviews from fans and Samuel L. Jackson hints on what the sequel may be.

The end of the film "Split" suggested that a sequel is coming especially when Willis' David Dunn showed up in the end. In fact, Shayamalan already hinted that he is writing the script and will bring back all three characters all together in one setting.

Screen Rant reported that Samuel L. Jackson shared his thoughts about the film. He noted that the movie did well and having a sequel with the Unbreakable universe is a good to go deal for him and Shayamalan.

Jackson also expressed that McAvoy's character as The Horde is adequate to be an enemy of Willis' character in "Split 2." The two characters would be both unbreakable and Elijah would be looking at the both of them.

Meanwhile, Gizmodo reported that "Split" has been one of the biggest films for Blumhouse. The sequel for "Split" can be a work with Disney since the Unbreakable film has been owned by the company. The first installment of Shayamalan's film has been a hit and it can be expected that the sequel may be a hit too.

"Split" earned a total of $115 million domestically and it only had a budget of $9 million. It only means that the film gained positive feedback from fans. Shayamalan already hinted of the sequel's script and that he is writing about it. There is no specific date as to when he may finish the scrip and a release date of the sequel.
