The Next 'Purge' Movie Set To Come Out Summer of 2018

The movie that has made a steady following has grown to have not one but two movies following it. The next installment comes out summer of next year.

For many fans, "Purge" was a movie that went in a different direction with its horror. It didn't involve anything supernatural nor did it cross over into the oh-so-common realm of the dead. It took its direction to a place that was uncommon with most people, something that went above your average homicidal slasher or ghost with an unending vengeance, and that particular spark will be coming to theaters once more in the Summer of 2018.

Hollywood Reporter states that "Purge's" next installmet will be coming Summer of next year, specifically Jul. 4, 2018. The plot of the second installment of the movie would have many thinking that would be the end of the story, but this clearly not the case as there are so many unanswered questions left. With the new "Purge" movie comes a new director which DeMonaco, the original creator of the franchise that will be working closely with others on the script, will be choosing. 

Along with the new changes comes three big-name companies joining in to help the movie come out and have a big impact on its fans, as per Deadline. Universal, Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes are said to be pushing forward with the next installment of "Purge's" Summer 2018 release date. With the latest installment of the franchise being its most successful release yet, the companies were convinced that they needed to continue onward.

"Purge" and "Purge: Anarchy" were very successful, and the whole X factor of the series that will also be in its release in Summer of 2018 involves the revealing of the hostility of man. Though hidden behind masks, the idea that people can go on a crime spree once a year to release their inner beast is perhaps one of the most terrifying concepts of horror out there. The reason for this is because this particular horror can be found in the most unsuspecting person, even our neighbors, and the movie did the job of making that monster a reality, so if one would be in the mood to try a different taste of horror/thriller movies, this one is worth checking out.
