The unlocked Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge's users are enjoying the use of the Android 7.0 Nougat all over the world. However, owners of the US device which is carrier-locked are not so lucky in attaining the perks of the Nougat version.

There is no exact word or date given as to when the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge carrier-locked devices will attain the Android Nougat 7.0. Despite that, there is word that T-Mobile will be rolling the upgrade out soon enough. According to PhoneArena, T-Mobile is testing out Android Nougat.

The T-Mobile website has a listing of the devices which will be getting the software update soon enough. Similarly, interested users can also see the current status of the update on the portal. As for the S7 and S7 Edge, they are placed under the "T-Mobile Testing" status.

The status confirms that the software is currently being tested. Prior testing will ensure that any possible issues that might arise in the future are eradicated before the release is launched to users. With that said and done, T-Mobile subscribers will be among the lucky few to use the Android 7.0 Nougat on their Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge devices.

In fact, it is predicted that T-Mobile subscribers will gain use of the update on the S7 family gadgets ahead of customers of other carriers. Additionally, the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge as well as the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 make their due appearance on the list.

Undoubtedly, this confirms that the devices will acquire their due Android 7.0 updates at some point from T-Mobile. However, the gadgets' status remains at "Manufacturer Development", which goes to say that T-Mobile is awaiting for the release of the update by Samsung first as are all the other carriers.

Moreover, the other devices that are enlisted as awaiting "Manufacturer Development" are the LG V10 as well as the LG Stylo 2 Plus.
