The lawyer for Phil Spector's wife said the divorce filed by the music producer is utterly heartbreaking. He added that she tried to do everything to provide the best possible care while he is in prison.

According to Yahoo, attorney Aaron Abramowitz said on Tuesday Rachelle Spector has been very devoted to her husband, proviing him support along the way of his incarceration. Abramowitz wrote "This whole situation is heartbreakingly bizarre. It is regrettable that Mr. Spector has failed to recognize the efforts made by Rachelle in spending tens of thousands of dollars on his medical and dental costs while incarcerated."

Newsday reported that based on the court records in Stockton, California, it shows that Phil Spector filed a divorce on March 18. A copy of his filing was not immediately available for public. Spector is known to have faced prison and is currently in a facility in Stockton that provides medical and mental health care to the state's sickest inmates especially those with chronic conditions.

ABC News wrote that Phil Spector is famous for revolutionizing rock music with 'Wall of Sound' that merged beautiful vocal harmonies with lavish orchestral arrangements to produce such pop hits as 'Da Doo Ron Ron,' 'Be My Baby,' 'He's a Rebel,' and the 'Righteous Brothers' version of 'You've Lost that Loving Feeling.'

Abramowitz added that Rachelle even received a pilot license to make things easier for her to visit her husband.

The two met in a Hollywood restaurant in 2003, but shortly he was convicted in the death of Lana Clarkson. The pair got married in 2006 and Rachelle continued his business since then. She also obtained a private investigator license just to help her in her husband's appeal to the conviction. Phil Spector is currently serving his 19 year sentence in prison.
