'Chicago Fire' officially renewed for season 5; 'Grey's Anatomy' alum Lauren Stamile cast to change political field in Chicago

NBC has finally announced that "Chicago Fire" Season 4 will push through for season 5. Aside from that, "Grey's Anatomy" alum Lauren Stamile has been cast for a major role that will change the political field in Chicago. The official plot description of episode 19 'I Will Be Walking' has been released as well.

NBC officially ordered the 5th installment for "Chicago Fire". Despite the slight under-rated performance of views and household ratings, the show remain to be one of the most-anticipated TV series from the network. That is why NBC came up with the decision of continuing the show for its 5th installment, which is expected to premiere during the latter months of 2016 or early 2017, Vine Report has cited.

Other than that, "Grey's Anatomy" alum Lauren Stamile has been cast for a lead role in the upcoming episodes of "Chicago Fire" Season 4. The 39-year-old American actress will portray the role of a political consultant. Stamile's character is described as a sexy, smart, confident, focus-driven, and well-spoken woman who will serve as the political game changer in Chicago, Design n Trend reports.

As for the official plot synopsis of episode 19. Spoilers Guide notes, "Lt. Casey (Jesse Spencer) tries all means necessary to resolve the issue. Severide (Taylor Kinney) lends a hand to Detective Holloway (Jenny Mollen), who is working a dangerous undercover investigation, and watches over her 9-year-old son at the firehouse.

Brett (Kara Killmer) and Jimmie (Steven R. McQueen) are called to aid a woman who takes a fond liking to Jimmy. Meanwhile, Otis (Yuri Sardarov) makes a surprising discovery that leaves him very concerned and Herrmann (David Eigenberg) goes toe-to-toe with Stella (Miranda Rae Mayo) to claim bragging rights over who can best run a bar."

"Chicago Fire" Season 4 Episode 19 is entitled "I Will Be Walking". The forthcoming episode is scheduled to premiere on Tuesday, April 19. 2016 at 9:00 p.m. first and exclusive on NBC.
