'Banshee:' EP confirms Season 4 is the final installment to air on Cinemax; Episode 1 airs April 1st

Series co-creator and executive producer Jonathan Tropper revealed that "Banshee" Season 4 will be the final season to air on Cinemax. The upcoming season will see "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" alum Eliza Dushku joining the cast as an FBI profiler agent, and the network has released the episode 1 synopsis 'Something Out of the Bible'.

Series co-creator and executive producer Jonathan Tropper revealed the news about the cancellation of the series. Tropper stated, "While we certainly considered returning for a 5th season, I always said that when the story was told, it would be time to move on, and that time has come. I am grateful to Cinemax for making Banshee the great success it has been, and for supporting our creative decision to wrap things up", reports International Business Times.

Other than that, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" alum Eliza Dushku officially joins the cast of "Banshee" Season 4. According to Ecumenical News, the 35-year-old American actress will be portraying the role of Veronica Dawson. Veronica happens to be a secretive FBI profiler agent with no shortage of personal demons.

As for the plot spoilers of the premiere episode (episode 1), it is noted that the upcoming season will focus on Lucas Hood's (Antony Starr) major comeback. Lucas returns to Banshee after 2 years after being unable to look for a job. So, he tracks down a serial murderer on the loose instead, Breathe Cast has cited.

"Banshee" Season 4 Episode 1 is entitled as "Something Out of the Bible". The series which was originally scheduled to premiere last January 29, 2016 has been postponed for April 1, 2016 airing instead. The show is set on a 10:00 p.m. timeslot first and exclusive on Cinemax.

"Banshee" is an American action TV series created by Jonathan Tropper and David Schickler. The series is set in the small town of Banshee in Pennsylvania Amish country.
