'New Girl' Season 5: EP talks how Zooey Deschanel's absence became advantage; Reagan causes chaos towards Nick and Winston?

Creator Liz Meriweather revealed how lead actress Zooey Deschanel's absence is an advantage in "New Girl" Season 5. Also, FOX Network has released the official plot description for episode 6 "The Decision" and for those who missed to watch the last episode, a recap of previous episode 7 "Wig" is provided here.

Series creator Elizabeth Meriweather discussed with Vulture about "New Girl" lead actess Zooey Deschanel's Jessica "Jess" Day absence is an advantage. Meriweather stated that the good thing about Deschanel's maternity leave is that the show does not feel so different or incomplete. Deschanel's absence gave way for other characters to step up like Winston Bishop (Lamorne Morris) and Cece Parekh (Hannah Simone) who are able to have more storylines this season.

As for the official spoilers of episode ,8 TV Guide notes, "Pharmaceutical representative Reagan (Megan Fox) causes chaos when she tells Chicago bartender Nick Miller (Jake Johnson) and Winston that she will only sleep with one of them, in an attempt to challenge the guys' indecisiveness. Schmidt (Max Greenfield) is reunited with his college frenemy, Benjamin (David Neher), when he looks at wedding venues with Cece."

For a quick recap of "New Girl" Season 5 previous episode 7 entitled "Wig", Spoilers Guide reported that Schmidt and Cece took some actions when Nick's attraction to Reagan affected their relationship. The two enacted a plan to demystify Reagan with the hope that Nick would get over her while Winston taught Reagan everything about breaking up.

"New Girl" Season 5 Episode 8 is entitled as "The Decision". The forthcoming episode is slated to premiere on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at 9:00 p.m. exclusively on FOX Network.

"New GIrl" is an American situational comedy TV series created by Elizabeth Meriweather which follows the life of Jessica Day, an offbeat teacher under the working title of "Chicks and Dicks".
