Presidential candidate Marco Rubio topped poll from recent GOP debate; Claims he's grateful for campaign momentum

Republican candidate Marco Rubio topped recent poll after his not-so-impressive performance during the GOP debate in New Hampshire on February 06. Rubio stated that his campaign has regained its momentum after it was slightly affected by the recent debate.

As per the New York Times, Rubio's performance during the GOP debate was not met with the greatest reaction from advertisers and supporters. New Jersey governor Chris Christie gave him a warning backstage, which he stayed true to, on the debate where he mocked Rubio of giving incomplete information and "memorize 25-second speech".

Christie's supporters welcomed him with applause upon his return from the debate while Rubio's supporters were shocked, although, no major donors have reportedly left the candidate. In one event, Rubio eventually admitted to his supporters that the outcome of the debate was his fault that he could have defended better during the debate. He also promised to bounce back from such setback.

" It's on me. I did not do well on Saturday night -- so listen to this -- that will never happen again', Rubio stated. However, as reported by AOL, a recent CBS poll revealed Rubio in the top spot and winner of the GOP debate. He was followed by Donald Trump at 24%, and John Kasich at 19%.

Rubio has earned considerable following in Iowa, but should work further for South Carolina where he ranked third place behind Trump and Ted Cruz at 15. As reported by USA Today, when asked about his reaction about the debate, and the subsequent result of the poll, Rubio said that "I do feel great about our momentum,".

Rubio also said that he plans on being faithful and do his best for the campaign. He also joked about his infamous line during the debate that its "now available in paperback". He also defended that he kept on reiterating the line during the debate because he thought it was working for his advantage. More details about the GOP candidates' presidential campaign as details are released.
