‘Transformers 5’ Update: Studio announces release dates including Bumblebee spin-off film; Film’s antagonist is Unicron?

Paramount Pictures is on a roll here as they announced the release dates of 3 planned film for the next three years filled with Autobots and Decepticons. The studio had just released the Transformers 5, 6, and a Bumbleebee spin-off bound to hit theaters starting 2017. Meanwhile, talks regarding the villain of the fifth installment includes the addition of Unicron.

Michael Bay is bound to helm the Transformers 5 and with this, the studio has already excite the fans with the release dates for the next three films. According to Coming Soon, Paramount Pictures would like the fans to save June of the next three years as they are releasing the Transformers films. June 23, 2017 will mark the anticipated fifth installment of the franchise having to fight Warner Bros.' Wonder Woman in the process. On June 8, 2018, the untitled sixth installment is also set to be dropped clashing with the Legendary's Godzilla sequel. Lastly, the seventh film is set to hit on June 28, 2019. It would be a tough for films to compete against each other as the fans really do love these film genres.

Moreover, everybody's favorite transformer, Bumblebee is getting his own spin-off film. In the article by Slashfilm, the yellow transformer is getting a spin-off which could be the Transformers 6. Tom Warner already confirmed that the Transformers 6 would be a Bumblebee-centric one and would battle Godzilla 2. The spin-off would be another try of a studio to expand the Transformers universe just like what Marvel did to their franchise. Being the first to have his own film, the Bumbleebee movie is set to be written by Akiva Goldsman.

Back to the Transformers 5, rumors indicate that the fifth installment would include the antagonist Unicron as reported by Youth Health Mag. The rumor is just a fan fiction made by Youtube users and director Michael Bay refuse to say anything that would spoil his last film for the franchise. He just added that he'd try to finish the film subtlety. Unicron is a planet size villain and writer Ehren Kruger has been wanting to include the character but it would be limited since technology is limited. He added that Unicron is a mythology character and Kruger is expecting to end the franchise with Unicron on board.

Transformers 5 is the upcoming installment of the Transformers series starring Mark Wahlberg. Updates include the release dates of three Transformers films which would include a Bumblebee-centered film. This is a take from the Marvel's cinematic universe as the studio also want to expand the Transformers storylines. Lastly, villain list for the Transformers 5 includes Unicron, the planet-sized transformers, as the top pick. Nonetheless, audience should wait for further announcements or wait for the film in June 23, 2017.
