President Obama's power plant regulation halted by Supreme Court; Regulation might harm states, companies

The Supreme Court has its judges divided as they vote 5-4 against Presidents Obama's new power plant regulation. This new plan of the administration vows to address the increasing threat of global warming.

The 27 Republican led states and opponents of the regulation named Obama's move as an unprecedented power grab. The court's ruling on this issue is a strong sign that the president's opponents have made a strong and good argument regarding the issue.

White House spokesman Josh Earnest said that they totally disagree with the Supreme Court's decision. He added that it is the administrations pledge to develop cost effective plans to reduce global warming. He also said that the president's plan has a strong and legal foundation and they promise to take every possible steps to ensure that this plan will move forward.

The reason for this defiance by a number of states is that their economic growth depends a lot on this fossil and coal fuel industry. They argued that it will take this power plants millions of dollars before they can finish complying with the requisites and will still be unsure if it will be overturned in the end.

Attorney General Patrick Morrisey of West Virginia, one of the leaders who's fighting the regulation said that he is happy with the court's decision. It will save the state from losing millions of dollars as well as saving the workers from losing their jobs.

Because of the Court's decision, Environmentalist are at awe after hearing the verdict. Vickie Patton, a lawyer for Environmental Defense Fund stated that the Clean Power Plan has been clear in strengthening the nations clean air laws which in turn has strong evidences regarding the ill effects of using conventional power source.

The United States signed an agreement in Paris regarding issues of emission-reduction which is aimed globally. The administration is also firm in believing that this new regulation will start of a new clean-energy job opportunity for everybody.
