New HTC Desire 626 version’ specs, features, release date revealed; Slim but powerful smartphone with long battery life

Taiwan-based smartphone manufacturer HTC has launched the all new Desire 626. A slim smartphone that is equipped with 4G LTE, a powerful processor and an outstanding battery life.

According to GSM Arena, the HTC Desire 626 will measure 146.9 x 70.9 x 8.2 mm (5.78 x 2.79 x 0.32 in) and will weigh only 140 g. it will sport a 5-inches capacitive touchscreen with a vibrant 16 million color display. The resolution of the device is 720 x 1280 pixels (~294 PPI pixel density).

Under its shell, the HTC Desire 626 will run on the Octa-core 1.7 GHz Cortex-A53 MediatekMT6752 chipset with Mali-T760MP2 Adreno 306 for the graphics. The device will have a 2GB RAM which is perfect for streaming from one application to the other. With 16 GB internal memory and an option of increasing it to up 32GB via external microUSB, important files will surely be protected. All this hardware will be powered by a 2000 mAh non-removable Li-ion battery which experts expect to last a whole day without charging.

For the Operating System, the HTC Desire 626 will use Android's v5.1 Lollipop and can be updated to the latest v6.0 Marshmallow. To establish connections, this device will have 4G capability, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, A-GPS, DLNA, GLONASS, and FM radio connectivity.

In the photography department, the HTC Desire 626 will be equipped with a 13MP f/2.2 with 28mm lens coupled with a bright LED flash to catch those precious memories even in low light. On the front, it will sport a 5MP front-facing camera. Additional camera features include touch focus, face detection and can capture panorama scenes.

Expected date of release for the Desire 626 will be on March 2016. Color variants for this smartphone will be Blue Lagoon and White Birch. So for consumers looking for budget-friendly, feature-loaded smartphone in a slim package, they might as well lay their eyes on this offering from HTC.
