Josh Duggar Case: Pornstar drops sexual assault lawsuit

By

Josh Duggar has won victory over his lawsuit filed by pornstar Danica Dillon.

Dillon dismissed her lawsuit against the former 19 kids and Counting star on Friday, People reports. The adult actress/model has agreed not to take any further move after she claimed that Duggar assaulted her during an alleged consensual sexual encounter in March.

Dillon, whose real name is Ashley Stamm-Northup, sued Duggar in November for $500,000 in damages. Duggar requested the court’s dismissal in December.

Per gossip site TMZ, Dillon promised to never file any case against Duggar again. Josh also agreed not to file a lawsuit proving that Dillon lied about the assault.

The documents also state that Duggar’s lawyer asked Dillon to pay his client’s legal fees. He also asked that Dillon post a statement on Facebook admitting that she falsely accused Duggar.

Last August, Dillon claimed that Duggar “manhandled” her during a rough sexual encounter. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the pornstar claimed she “felt as if she was being raped” in court papers filed in November.

The lawsuit filed by Dillon came after Duggar’s confession that he cheated on his wife, not long after his profile in Ashley Madison came to light. Subsequently, he checked into rehab for sex addiction.

In 2015, Duggar made headlines when he admitted that he sexually molested five minor girls, including some of his sisters, when he was still a teenager.

His wife, Anna, expressed her feelings about supporting her husband in a blog post.
She shares that her recent visit to Josh was an “important step” for their marriage.

"I want to thank all of you for your prayers and your messages of hope. I can never express how your kindness and prayers have brought encouragement when I needed it most – outpacing the grief and discouragement at every turn.”

Anna has not yet released a statement following her husband's win against Dillon.
