'All Out War:' North Korea's Kim Jung Un Threatens America with New Bellicose Language

By

Since North Korea conducted underground nuclear tests on Feb. 12, the international community has taken renewed interest - and consternation- by their bellicose actions.

The tests prompted the United Nations Security Council to order harsher sanctions against the already isolated country. In return, North Korea has threatened the U.S., and its allies to an "all out war," the New York Daily News reported.

In a series of heated bulletins published by North Korea's state news agency, North Korean premier Kim Jong Un said his country army is "fully ready" for battle.

"[The premier] said all the service personnel of the ground, naval, air and anti-air and strategic rocket forces including the frontline units are fully ready to fight a Korean style all-out war," the statement read. "If the enemy makes any slight reckless provocation, in the sensitive waters, he will issue an order to start the just great advance for national reunification in all frontlines, never missing the golden opportunity. The U.S. also seeks a way out of a serious economic crisis at home in unleashing the second Korean war."

While military experts acknowledge North Korea's foray into nuclear technology poses a serious threat, especially to neighboring countries, they generally agree that its actual military capability may be limited. .A new video from North Korean state media indicated the country's military suggest that the drum-up to war is in the national agenda. How, where, when, and why still remain up in the air.

North Korea also recently took the bold step of scrapping the armistice that stopped the Korean War in 1953. Kim Jong Un, the young leader, and son of Kim Jong Il, has made his feelings of hostility open for the world to see, brashly threatening the United States and South Korea at every turn.
