GTA 6 rumored to release on PS5, Xbox Two; Rockstar Games' Leslie Benzies departure cause of delay?

By

Rockstar Games' GTA 6 seemingly does not get a break from the ever curious mass that asks for news. As tons of speculation have overtaken the web, the reason behind the probable delay or even inexistence of the sixth installment, a clearer picture has been drawn for the fans to comprehend.

According to Parent Herald, the fifth installment, GTA V has become a title that is worth bragging about on a successful scale. On a more upsetting note, however, the craving for a sixth installment is still dominant to all who may have grown weary of the existing one. The recent confirmation of a colleague under Rockstar Games is now pointed on being one of the culprits for the alleged delay.

Reported by Vine Report, major influencer Leslie Benzies was declared of no longer being affiliated with Rockstar Games. It was back in September 1, 2014 when Leslie Benzies went on a sabbatical leave post the GTA V launch but Rockstar Games formally stated that Leslie Benzies decided to no longer work for the company.

Her absence is also one factor that many assume to play a big part in the possible postponing of GTA 6 but on a more technical side, another interesting theory has surfaced.

It was noted by Mobi Picker that GTA 6 looks to no longer make its presence felt on the current gen consoles, but to the successors of the hardware in the near future. Rumors have circulated that Rockstar Games looks to align the release of GTA 6 with the unveiling of the PlayStation 5 or even the Xbox Two, making GTA 6 the probable first game in the franchise to step foot on the said platforms.

So far, GTA 6 has not been confirmed of being in the works, let alone an idea by Rockstar Games. The soonest that fans are guessing to hear about it would be around 2018 at the earliest.
